I Need To Sleep

I’m feeling so tired, I look such a sight
Suitcases under my eyes, my skin is ghostly white

Could do with a tonic without any gin
A relaxing massage would make my face grin

Sun on my body and cool wind in my hair
A tropical beach, oh I wish I was there

Guess in my dreams these things I can do
If you want the same come and join me too

No cares in the world just for a day
Just a decent sleep and I will be ok

Wow! I can really relate to your trouble sleeping, Jan. I live by the beach and you are welcome to visit anytime. It's not a tropical island, but you can swim most months of the year. As for the sleeplessness, counting cartoon sheep in my head sometimes works. Also, try turning on the TV, but leaving the sound so low you'll have to strain to hear it. Sleep is always welcome when it finally comes! Great poem! Love, Carolyn

Aww thanks so much Carolyn. I am 5 mins from a beach sadly the British weather isn't such that we can use it for more than a few weeks in a year LOL. I am sure once I've had my procedure at the hospital next week i will be able to rest easier:-) Hugs Jan xxx

Good choice, Jan. They don't give an option here, but if they did...I would opt for that too. Before you know it...it will be through...and hopefully there will be nothing to worry about! XOXO

Oh Hon....don't worry. I've had that done...TWICE. Need to have another one...and I'm putting it off! :( It isn't bad, though. They put you out so you don't feel anything. Keep your chin up! I'll pray for you, sweetie! May God's presence keep you calm....HUGS

I'm awaiting an endoscopy next week Eileen and its praying on my mind but as dad and his 2 brothers had some form of bowel cancer they are checking me out too. Have been waiting since June and it was postponed earlier this month - I feel drained i just want it over . Hugs Jan xx
