I Need To Hear It From You

How long have you shared
your secret lover with the world
the one you kept from my ears
did you decide to move on
last night while we made love
 or was it this morning
 when I still had reason
 to believe in you

 perhaps it was Sunday
 as I cleaned the rooms
 while you walked the dog

 how long have I been
 your excuse to leave early

 where in the world
did you promise to travel to
as I made your favorite bread

I need to hear it from you
how a life time spent by my side
has lost its meaning to you
 what covenants were made
 as you broke
all of your covenants made to me
 you will never know
the safety of my kiss again

                                     IRISH

Interesting question but in this poem i tried to write as i felt a women would feel learning that her partner had cheated on her or was about to leave, etc. Injecting issues lie making favorite bread, cleaning rooms, etc anchored the feeling to something more meaningful and 'normal' for any couple, hence the violation of trust becomes more significant and exactly why HE will never now the safety of her kiss again.
