I Need Rest

Resting my eyes On a bed of skulls Dead inside Forgive me for I have sinned My weakness Is caring too much And carrying a burden I shouldn't be carrying My garden is full of weeds Growing over the dead roses My eyes were once vibrant Now they're sullen holes I'm not a machine But I've still broken down Resting my eyes On a bed of skulls

Resting my head on a bed of skulls. This immediately set the tone, and kept it there. You have an amazing mastery of words, Christopher.
