Notes About The Poem

I Need My Cafe

I must, MUST have my café in the morning
but there is no time to make it
        in my coffee maker.
           so I buy it
             brewed
             and hot
          at the local café.
        And I rush off
      to my dance class
paper cup in hand and feeling darn good.

Oh yes, I need my fix in the morning
I spin and twirl and leap,
        then its home again
          but first I must
            get a cup
            of java
          black and smooth
        for that walk
     well more of a stroll,
and then I can ponder poems to write.

I'm the same way. I'm dead without coffee. Good luck in the contest.
