I miss when i was safe

When was the last time you felt truly safe
Like you walked outside and could just live your life
When was the last time you told the truth
when someone asked if you where ok
When was the last time you smiled
when you looked in the mirror

The world we live in not fit for us
Too much violence and hate
Too much victim blaming for the cloths that we where
To much abuse for being kids
Too many homes for the forgotten
Too many kids put up for adoption
Too many people telling us we are not normal
Too much society trying to control me
Too many thought not positive
Too many scares self inflicted
Too many hours spent contemplating to live
To many suicides
When will this all end

I hope you are okay. I've been in your shoes many times and the only thing I found to help me is someone that has "walked a mile in my shoes." I looked in a mirror and hated myself, I assumed everyone else did too. I lost my edge and had to find a way back, and I did, Today, I'm an entirely different person; I love what I am doing, and express much of it through thinking and writing about it. Hold your chin and share. - Chris
