I Miss the Time

sacred thoughts
of moments spent
wisely and foolishly
between both light and dark
when no one else is awake
keeps me awake on
nights when you aren't there

i keep vigil with false hope
and the pretense of
having an advantage
of an uncommon
feeling that no one
has felt before?

of woman born
and never to be scorned,
(at least not by me)
you wait for me in the quiet
in the places between
in the expanse that
exists in the
cells and cavity
of my
body
and mind.
