I Miss My Love

I miss my love so much Her smile, her look, her essence Everyday I think… no I dream Of her And the beauty that she is If oceans could speak They’d spray her name In absolutely wonder Birds sing her song And squirrels dance To her gate She gave me memories Of love and warmth That I cherish always But she left And I stand cold Shivering The sun cannot warm or heal Me I am but a broken man We have but one life to live Will she? Can she? Ever return

May your loved one return. Maybe a cute little text with an emoji will spike her interest. Best luck.

dear robert, i just love the subtle flow of emotions in this, and it really did make me feel so much! Its always impressive when one can express and say so much in few words and in simple words, that connect with readers. Your love and longing so well depicted here. I especially loved “if oceans could speak and also birds sing her song and the ending with the question gives an evocative vibe! A fave for me this is and well written to express how sincerely you miss your love. Congratulations

This is so well written, 'she left/ I stand cold' It is the void of the heart that is ever painful dear poet. too much to bear such pain, whatever the philosophies blare.
