I Miss My Baby

I'll never forget That time when we met I looked at you cravingly Then you glanced back nonchalantly It was love at first sight, at least for me For you, well, maybe not so much but I could tell there was more you wanted to see So the great hunt was on Instantaneously you started to bounce around in my head on and on and on My fonder for you grew with each waking day I chased you tirelessly but you subtly kept me at bay When others would shoot their shot with you, I admit I would get in my feelings To see them desire you, hold you, and dance with you would send me reeling But one day, that magical day all the stars aligned You looked at me with the same affectionate eyes, and like that you were mine My, my the chemistry between us was inexplicable You loved on me and I loved on you, we were inseparable When friends and family saw you, invariably they saw me If they spoke your name my name would come up too, most would agree We made passionate love over and over again It was organic with no artificiality or filters and no strain For years you were faithful and so was I Those were some of the best years of my life, I can't lie As time progressed I got older but you appeared to grow younger with distinction Our sinew became less strong as young Beau after young Beau vied for your attention It was futile of me to be mad at them for having desirous eyes Your alluring beauty and charm are unmatched and you wear no makeup or disguise Although it hurt tremendously, to the sidelines I had to go Just know that my love for you will never die and just seeing your beauty still gives me a lift when I'm low

Well that bites! Btw, did you mean beau rather than bo?

This poem is about the love of basketball. And yes, Beau is the operative word. Spellcheck on my phone highlighted "Bo" instead of Beau.
