lighting my heart

the way she laughed
from the depths of her soul
enjoying her life
with feelings that soothe

her elation, her delight
the way she loved
from the center of her heart
with a love that assured
all my life that I was valued

her heart, her soul
all the parts of her spirit
as she cherished and granted
everyone she knew
assurance that she clearly cared

her whisper, her prayer
her breath, so rare
a part of my own hopes
coloring my world
in hues of joy, faith and love
