I Melt Into the Porch

a warm day
I melt into the porch
slide under the floor rafters

dank damp smells assault me
down here where the dark things dwell
spiders, rats and snakes, now my companions

I feel them crawl on my neck
up my arms
one slithers across my leg
at least it is cool down here.

Caren, sometimes you are a nut.... But a great and glorious and good nut! Joy and Light, Gershon
