I Loved a Girl Here
I loved a girl here and nobody will ever know
You climbed that tree
to get a better view
I didn't have to
I was looking at EVERYTHING I wanted to see
I loved a girl here in this field of green
Naked on a blanket
Your Body
Is still the most beautiful place I have EVER seen
I loved a girl here on these trails
hand in hand
Most days your ridiculous beauty
Was more than I could stand
I loved a girl here on beaches full of stone
Nobody else mattered
I loved you so hard
We might as well have been alone
I loved a girl behind that fallen oak
We nicknamed it our dojo
Its the first place I said stay
Don't go
I loved a girl beneath this giant of the woods
Spring snow fell upon us as we lie twisted as one
I realized here
That my search was done
I loved a girl in a cabin in the north
I think I love you is what you said
Feelings for all others were now dead
All I needed was to hear it from you
Because what you didn't know
was that I loved you too
I loved a girl in places that dot this mighty land
She is gone now
I loved her from the very start
Now the only place I can love her
Is in my broken heart
