I Love You, My Love
I love you, my love
Like our Father's love from above
I know our tongues carry a common scar
Scar caused by slurs
Held back during the times of war
War declared to impel my own delight
While slowly killing your dimunitive glee
My love, your untainted warmth soothed me
And befriended me with the son of Joseph
Through your folks basilica
My God given Namaqualand daisy
That bears bright flowers daily
In the most unpleasant conditions
Dry and barren locations
Still you bestow upon me
The most fundamental space of
Your sacred heart
I love you, my love
I love you
I love
I
