I Love You
There’s only one you, the unmistakable you,
There’s only one of you to me,
And that one of you, that beautiful you,
Is the you that we all love to see.
Your idiosyncrasies, your unusual thoughts,
The unique things you do when at work,
They make you unique in the who that you are,
You’ve your own unique little quirk.
I love the you that is decidedly absent from
The small things that add to the whole,
I especially love the inspirational you,
The you that’s tattooed to your soul.
I’ll always love you, the special one and only,
The you that I want all for me,
I’ll always love you because, in the end,
Your you is the happy and free.
