I Love You

I do care for you,
And even though
You may not realize it;
I have love for you.

I possess much love:
All of it yours--
If you will receive it.
Who else is it for?

It isn't for me.
I love not me,
For self love is worthless
Because I love you.

You can't understand:
I overflow,
I cannot hold back love,
For it overwhelms.

You I care about.
Oh, so, SO, much;
Your future, your well be'ng
For you, you only

Don't leave me alone,
For I love you.
I do not want to face
Loneliness alone.

I keep you in mind
As you leave me.
I will not forget you;
I will remember

I can only hope,
Quite selfishly,
That you will remember
The one who loved you.
