I Love To Tell the Story

I love to tell the story For, Jesus to receive glory That ,when I thought I was alive I was working on a barge boat Twenty two years ago I would stay gone for a month at a time So I got away from normal life Which I kinda hated at the time But, it was ,for the best of me For this was before cell phones My grand paw had bought me a Bible He knew I needed it ,I didn't think It was a good Christmas present at the time: ) It has turned out to be the greatest gift So, I took it with me one trip Got bored one night opened it up Started reading from the beginning I went out to others making fun of it Then later that night I pulled it back out And read the red letters of His word Then He revealed to me I was dead Living in death from being born of a slave woman from this world Not that my mom was bad She is a wonderful mom She might still beat me when she sees this It was created this way nothing against moms Living in sinful nature from this world This explained to me all the chaos I see And what my soul had been longing for In the time I didn't even think I had a soul I was out for all the world's desires and corruptness I cried out in awe He placed within me a spirit That began to reveal and teach me That, I needed to die of old self I wandered if I was dying With all this new peace and love I wandered why not everyone Had this excitement to talk about Jesus But He was placing old man in the grave Not that things got easier from beginning But the battle was on to keep old man down To die daily that I might bring Glory Unto the one that snatched me from death It's not that I can boast of what I can do I was foolish as any that's why I boast of His work Don't let this world lie to you That you can't belong to God For this old self has to be separated That is done without hands To circumcise the old man to give life For He was the firstborn of the free woman Born in the flesh but in the spirit that gives life As an example to what we would seek To give one a way to escape this body Born of this world which leads to death To receive His spirit of life One will not see this until it's revealed To a broken and contrite heart Then stay in His word to learn What is going on within that this world rejects Seek the words of Paul for he was out to destroy Christ Then died to this world and new life and mind instilled New birth from the divine free mother His words I no longer live But Christ lives in me The spirit within reveals all the deception That keeps one held to this world We need His word instilled within Walking, talking and guiding One moment by moment That we might sacrifice old man In order for Christ to resurrect within In the comments I will post a song from my friend that loves God And to tell the story of Jesus, It's not to promote him for he has never put anything On YouTube everyone else does it May God, bless, comfort, guide and fill you with His peace, love and joy
