I Love Those Moments When

I Love Those Moments When…

…the sun arises in the east,
awaiting neither man nor beast.

…I sip a glass of sparkling wine
and dream of grapes upon the vine.

…a butterfly lights on my hand;
a magic thing that Nature planned.

…a kitten purrs there at my feet
a soothing sound, so calm and sweet.

…a thunder storm looms o'er my head;
I sense a tingling feel of dread.

…I sit beneath a shading tree
and feel the breezes cooling me.

…the birds all gather 'round to feed
on crusts of bread and fine bird seed.

…the sun is on its way to bed
and soon I'll have dreams in my head.
