I Love The LORD

I love the LORD because HE first loved me,
I love the LORD because for HE hears my plea,
I love the LORD because for HE knows my needs,
I love the LORD and I show it by my deeds.
When I am down with no place to turn,
When I feel lower then a worm,
When I can’t turn to anyone I know,
HE is there for me with love to show.
How Great is the Love of the LORD our GOD,
While I travel about on this earthly sod,
How great is HIS Love, How wonderful is HIS name,
I can hold my head up now with no shame.
HIS Great Love surrounds me at all times,
No matter where this road of life whines,
HIS Love is in me and keeps me strong and safe,
HIS gentle breeze falls upon me without haste.
O wondrous LORD, O Almighty GOD,
Thank you for giving us the gift of Your Son,
O Loving FATHER, O Just and True altogether,
YOU stay inside me no matter what the spiritual weather.
