I Love Salt

Now don’t get me wrong – I love sweets. I love all kinds of sugary treats. I like cake; I like pie, and for chocolate I die. I’m hankering now for a malt! But nothing beats something with salt. Caramel corn can be nice. But I prefer salt or some spice. It would be a mistake if I did not shake a while before calling a halt (into buttery popcorn) my salt! I shake it all over spaghetti. I shake it as if it’s confetti! On french fries and steak and casseroles I make - for sure I will have to exalt my favorite dishes with salt! Some really cute rhymes, I loved the spaghetti/confetti one and all the clever rhymes with salt! Anything made from potatoes taste great with salt, as well as meat. I love sprinkling salt over my eggs, sausage, bacon, and hash brown breakfasts. I always enjoy your food poem. Congrats on your win!

As long as your blood pressure is good, it's fun to binge on popcorn or pretzels. Now, I don't confetti my spaghetti with it (cute rhyme), but I know it makes meat taste better. Best wishes for a win! Hugs, Carolyn

I wish I could quit salt cold turkey, but how it that even possible? It's hold on people is devilish I tell ya, devilish! LOL. Salt just makes food taste good, period. We'd go crazy without it! I sense a winner here, Andrea:-) Love it! I took the salt theme in a completely different direction. GL in the contest!

I often get scary results after I pump up the cuff of my sphygmomanometer. That's why my sodium chloride intake has to be quite limited. Nevertheless, this is one of your usual fine writes.

Gosh, I do, too, Andrea. But, it was throwing me into congestive heart failure, so I've had to cut back drastically. Still, I miss it. This is an excellent entry for the Salt Contest. Best of luck!

fortunately I have good blood pressure, salt has never affected me and I rarely eat popcorn or spegetti though they are two of my favorite foods!! Baked potatoes with butter and salt, so yummy too.
