In this sonnet- I used a 13,10,10,13 syllable and a A,B,A.B rhyme.
There must be a name for this form?
I met her for the first time nearly twelve years ago,
I never knew how much joy she would bring to me
There's one thing for sure that I just didn't know,
I'd fall in love with a woman that wears a goatee
I guess, when we both do come from different habitats...
Our looks and appearances can vary
And, for some reason she just doesn't like cats
I think, more than me, she loves my canary
Besides her goatee, her body is covered with hair
But that's fine, she just needs a shave
'specially under there, yeah...you know where
She never complains, an occasional rant or rave
One of those women, whose bite isn't as bad as her bark
And, she loves it when I take her to the doggy park
