I Love Ballet

i love ballet
the synchronization of the body
to music
as I watch those bodies glide
swans upon a water chorus
I see the black band
worn by the Roman Legions
a fidelity so strong
self-control is never an issue
dedicated to no matter the price
no care given to pain
the goal is to be achieved
enthralled, inspired I sit in rapture
the admiration encased in ballet
breathes in hope
we, humans, may eventually achieve
the larger goal before us
Earth rotating thru the heavens
carrying the bliss we deserve
where life has found the dedication
this lithe, svelt performance 
I sit and watch
until then I purchase my ticket
sit in the front row
hope and dream
watch enthralled of what could be

The excellance and beauty of the human form and spirit.I am with you brother .I watched Svetlana Zakharova dance the dying Swan the other night and was transported to the lakes dark surfaced death dance of lifes struggle to remain.Always good to read you my friend.

you understand.....it is why i so often play on Youtube "What a feeling" Flash Dance....i am simply held in awe to the love of dedication...i live in chronic pain and it reminds me, you pay the price and the only anodyne is to swim deeply in acceptance and live no matter what in the passion your heart loves above it all....to reach for the stars and fall gracefully in gratitude...what greater joy than to know you lived in the passion

Timothy Ray! I had to hunt for your pg. it wasn’t just appearing the way it had… Reading this poem of truths was enthralling. Did U know i studied at the Met Opera School of Ballet NYC, THO YRS AGO? thank you Sally....you are such a remarkable person....i grew so fast in high school and a basketball coach had the idea...well it did not work...but I was often referred to as the cat man of the high iron later in life....balance came in life when I needed it...those watching from the office next door I never stole a heart, but with my fake stumble I did put a few hearts in their throats with my fake stumble...yeah I was an onery kid too
