I Love a Rainy Night

On rainy nights, in pensive thought,
I claim the respite I have sought
but seldom found on sunny days.
Cool drops soothe more than brightest rays
in times when life's with trouble fraught.

Creative winning work. I am glad that I chose it to read today. Congratulations on it being on the winners' list. Way to go. I like the rhythm, flow and rhyme of this one. Sara K

Wonderful Janice. I like rainy nights for thinking as well.

You wrote about me, how sweet. The rain gives me permission to relax without guilt, whereas the sun says, let's get going - things to do and situations to sort. I've never written about rain's effect and don't have to because I can just FAV yours. Thank you for this gift ... CayCay

I find the pitter patter of raindrops quite soothing. Hope you're keeping well Janice. Tom
