It was meant to be a good idea,
It was meant to make things right.
It was meant to fix everything up,
And not become a fight.
You see, I’d unfriended, blocked, walked away,
From a history that’d caused me pain.
I’d thought I’d been the passenger in the wreck,
But, no, I was the whole derailed train.
Because, after walking, I’d looked over my shoulder,
To keep an eye on my paranoid, crazy fears,
And that was the mistake that I had made,
The mistake leading to torrential tears.
I’d lost her trust, I’d lost her love,
I’d lost everything with what I’d said.
I’d lost this perfect love of my life,
When she turned her back, stepped out and fled.
