I Look(In My Mind)

A plain field
of which to sleep
And dreaming forever:

"long ago sweethearts and nearby friends"

During this long pause of nothingness
thoughts in rushing waves crash
Reflections that are not afraid to reveal

Good time schoolyard

Teachers to cherish

Hope in the jar(chocolate cookies to my taste)

Movies on video cassette(before the d.v.d.wars)

I look
from the mind's point of view
lessons learned
places still within a walking distance

it is the only way I know how
to hold on to yesterday
seeing it then as I still do now!
