I Like You Now

(Response to Toby Keith’s ‘How Do You Like Me Now?’) You were quite crazy. Why did you break in? Writing my number was a mistake. I was better off than most of my friends. I had honors. I was embarrassed when people called me for “a good time.” You sure as hell caught my attention. I overlooked you because you were not my type. I had too many calling me for a “good time.” You did play too loud. I am angered by your success. I should have told my friends to go to hell. I could have been next to you. The only crazy one is me. Sitting here today. I didn’t want to love you. Now you are the nightmare in my radio. You make me angry. I laughed because you were going out there to fail. Of course I made fun of you because I never believed in you. I thought you and your music was worthless. Of course I wanted money what else is there in life. Ha! (sarcastic) I became his slave and that is my business not yours! He is always working late with his secretary (sarcasm & eye roll). Of course he found someone younger They hear me crying because I have no one there for me. Where is the snooze when you need it? I know that voice. Oh crap it is your voice. I was angered by your success. I should have told my friends to go to hell. I could have been next to you. The only crazy one is me. Sitting here today. I didn’t want to love you. Now you are the nightmare in my radio. I regret telling you no. I’m sorry, please stop. I will live with my regret
