I like the rain

I like the rain But not really. I like the rain Because no one else does. If it can make me feel something For just a moment, Then I could never hate it. So I'll stand in the rain And let it soak through to my bones. I'll shout that I like the rain While you watch me Through the windows To your sad little lives In your boring grey houses, Identical to the one next door. If you remain inside In fear of getting wet Then you will never be free. Hating the rain Will only make your life smaller. The raindrops paint colour On my skin.
