I Lied

If I told you that you hold the key to my heart, I lied

If I told you that you are my life, I lied

If I told you that I want to spend my life with you, I lied

If I told you that I would die for you, I lied

You do not hold the key to my heart, but my soul

You are not my life, but my whole world and more

I do not want to spend my life with you, but an eternity

I would not die for you, but fight to the bitter sweet end

So now you see just how much you mean to me

Because you are my love, my life, and my best friend
