'i Left You Behind'

I can still see those words 
“her work is too similar, 
too monotonous”
your words stung that day - 

I felt like giving up, 
Didn’t want to put my thoughts and feelings
out there again, 
but then I realized you are stealing my joy 
you are walking all over my soul

I picked up my pen
and continued writing from my heart
I moved on and I left you behind
