I laugh at their efforts to shame me

I laugh that my friends think managing my cell phone time is rude I keep my phone off until I want to make a call out. saving me time I would not have wanted to spend listening to people who want to be listened to. my friends indicate that I am a traitor, less a friend than I could be if I left my phone on, and kept myself at the ready for their calls. I do not let my phone dictate my hours; I value my time and laugh at their efforts to shame me.

I don't turn mine on unless I am out by myself, just in case I need to get in touch with someone in case of an emergency. You have the right to turn yours on when you need to use it and keep it off unless you need to talk to someone or someone close might need to get in touch with you. It is your life and not theirs.
