I Know This May Be Strange But

“I know this may be hard, but in a few minutes I need you to give me some positive characteristics you have,” the lady at the personnel office said to me of all people.
Good grief. How long does a few minutes last? We sat in silence at least 40 seconds.
“Have you thought of anything?” Boy, had I.
“Even if it’s just a few things, it’ll be a good start. Okay, go.”
“I’m creative, friendly, and enthusiastic, I love people, and I’m a good listener….”
“Hold it!” she said. “Wait just a second, what was after friendly?”
“Could you please slow down a bit?” she added.
I wish I could. I truly do.
