I Know the Truth, But Can I Face It

I see the writing on the wall
but just can't seem to read
I know deep down what I must do
but can't seem to see the need

Questions going to and fro
debates that wage their war
a heart that's feeling heavy
and a conscience getting sore

Am I just avoiding
what I know is right
is this all just temporary
a little short of sight?

But it's so hard to start again
when feeling numb from care
and emotions that you thought you had
are now just barely there

I know that I'm the one to blame
for opening up the door
and in storms my confusion
and throws me to the floor

So is this really what I want
a life I've know forever
or is it time to cut and run
a past completely sever?

Smile ~ I just noticed again "Your Beauties" name amid a lovely poetess' com box so I thought that I would stop by to view a poe and say hello my dear and, I find a very gifted, profound and wonderful painting; brushed amid reflectives deeper hues and this, is Always but a very beautiful canvas to thus behold ~ "Beautiful &, 'Keep Painting.'" ~ "Love, 'Always,'" John!:) ~
