I Know

I know what I want
And I feel what I need
You are the one
Who stops all the bleed
With you I look forward
And never behind
You keep us important
Never stuck in rewind
No worries but taxes
I don’t need those glasses
To show life as rosy
For with you I’m cozy
So put up your dukes
And let’s get this thing started
For life is a battle
And together we’ll fight it
Doesn’t matter if we win
For you know we’d just grin
Those monsters that scare us
Won’t break us or make us
We have comfort in knowing
Our love for each showing
And Always at night
When you turn out the light
You’ll be holding me tight
So then all will be right

Poet, I'd love to have you at my side once the battle's begun. My Dukes 'r up "Not Waving...", not drowning, been swinging at every Enemy I can find. Your piece gives me hope that I Am not alone, the fight's still worth fighting for as long as we hold love in our hearts and our minds. For it's the Beautiful Truth of Reason and Faith, together. So, let us "Gather Darkness", it's monstrous sleep, and show it the door that our Light will open. This piece of yours has re-energized me. Thank you.
