I Knew

Youl walked away
With a laugh and a wave
Like nothing had changed.

Complaining about the 
Lack of beer
With the promise of a call.

But, I knew

I knew there would be no call
I knew that our time together
Was over.

You would never have admitted it

But, I knew.
