I Just Want You Gone

Once you owned my soul
Desire clouded me.
Your touch was burning ,fire
My body wanting , free
I don't know when that changed
Where it all went wrong
But now I'm desperate for your exit
I just want you gone.
I used to ache to see you
Those tormented, lonely days
Now I hope you disappear
Please just go away
There's been an nasty shift
Like candy once sweet now sour
What's left of us is bitter
More distasteful by the hour
Please stop this war, cease fire
Let's just both move on
Good soliders know to march away
I just want you gone

Had to stop and read. there's a reason for this. arguing and fighting. Name calling and abuse. Jelousy and ignoring. But if I got this letter I'd change.

This reminds me of the song “nothing cold as ashes after the fire is gone”.
