I Just Want To Write

I just want to write

writing frees the mind from mental shackles
giving us the imagination and creativity to combat and tackle 
those complicated moments that become stressful vices
hindering us from our goals and removing positive devices 

I just want to write

writing opens the doors to the heart of the most stoic man
eclipsing the emotionless ora revealing an emotional and heroic man
writing relieves the emotional and situational stressors of everyday life
reality may be embellished when it is spoken but truth is prevalent within every write

I just want to write 

the pen is my voice, the paper my soul
translating my purest thoughts and feelings into the most beautiful stories told
writing reveals my most inner thoughts without care, free of inhibitions
I am exposed internally and externally 
in the most vulnerable of conditions
judge me openly, judge me objectively and try to judge me right
I stand free from prejudices and bias
every piece written challenges and abolishes ignorant stereotypes

Janetta Harrington January 20, 2009 at 8:17 PM this is stunning. i know how vulnerable writing makes us. my mama used to say "never" put your feeling into writing. so i hid my writing. then she was gone and guess what i found diaries everywherer for ever year she and dad were married. so, i write just what i think and what i feel and always freestyle. sometimes i write something at night and it is as if someone sneaked into my house and wrote and i go. hummm. i wonder what this means. janetta
