I just want to hear from you

I just want to hear from you By Michelle Morris 13/11/2023 I picked up the phone To dial your number And then it slammed back home That you're no longer here Life is funny It's funny like that The ones we miss the most Die way too soon And here I stand, the mirror speaks The reflection older, the eyes wise and sweet And here I stand, the mirror knows I tried everything (I know), to let you go Call me crazy, call me strange But what is love and loss for the Gods untamed? Call me stupid, call me fool I keep holding on (darling), to hear from you What is it, what is life? This amazing dance, this amazing chance What is it, what is love? It's everything, a gift we all covet What is it, what is hope? The thing with wings, to fly and cope What is it, what is faith? The things we believe, the things we crave And here I stand, the mirror speaks The reflection older, the eyes wise and sweet And here I stand, the mirror knows I tried everything (I know), to let you go Call me crazy, call me strange But what is love and loss for the Gods untamed? Call me stupid, call me fool I keep holding on (darling), to hear from you I keep holding on (darling), to hear from you I keep holding on (darling), to hear from you I just want to hear from you I just want to hear from you © Michelle Morris, 2023
