I Just Want Someone To Hold Me
i just want someone to hold me
someone to tell me "it's okay"
a hand to stoke my hair and to
touch my face, wipe my tears
i just want someone to hold me
someone who won't say "bad"
or "why did you do that?"
a soft lap, a warm body
i just want someone to hold me
tell me i'm special
that no one can hurt me
there is no one like me
i just want someone to hold me
to rock me in a gentle rhythm
sing of flowers and butterflies
show me how beautiful life can be
when it hurts so much to
be afraid of living
when sadness takes over
and all is gray
when i am so lonely
it is nothing
i just want someone
out there
every once in a while
to hold me
