I Just Don'T Know

Where do poets go,
once they're done with the soup?
Do they stay hidden from others
and out of the loop?

Where do poets go,
when they're done with their write?
Do they hide their pens,
and stay out of sight?

Where do poets go,
an answer I cannot find!
I can only pray that they're lives are fulfilled,
with peace and harmony flooding their mind...

Edward, I think poets go on with their lives. I come and go, hardly post poems. I hang out with my family with or with poetry. I once heard when poets leave the soup they go to other sites, then come back. However if someone lost their muse, I imagine them to feel some kind of empty. This is a great write. Glad to see you back. Hope to see you again, stop by my latest you might like it. thanks for the reply to my comment on your poem, the empty stroller .... Linda

How often do we all wonder on this? I believe, poets are like a seed they go where and when their needed with words of depth and feeling cautious with all they are revealing. Love your words. DMB
