I, Icon
I, Icon
Stand to pledge;
As representative of the common man,
As one of the common man,
To promote the image of beauty
Through appreciation of self,
Idolisation of the uniqueness of man,
In ALL his forms.
I stand firm,
with my brothers and sisters,
With YOU,
Against the madness that threatens to tear us down.
I stand with you,
In understanding,
Brotherhood,
Against the darkness that roars silently against the doors of the heart,
That threatens to overwhelm.
I stand with the people,
Against uniformity,
Against mindless parroting,
Against the norm,
So that we all might bloom,
despite the DARK that lurks ready to devour ready to destroy,
Because together we will be strong.
