I HOPE YOU KNEW
I should have told you more often I know,
But I suppose I thought you knew.
Each time you walked in through the door
And my heart skipped a beat,
Then I should have said it.
When you smiled at me across the room,
I missed another opportunity.
Oh, I said it in moments of passion,
But how hollow that must have seemed.
And now you are gone and it’s too late.
I hope you knew how much I loved you.
