I Hope You Hurt
I hope you hurt
feel the pain I do
ache and weep at this emptiness
of your leaving me alone.
Music whirls in my suffering
wallowing in the loneliness
of your distanced steps
that walk uncaring without a look back.
Really? After all these years
could it be that easy
to slip in and out our love lost
as if we're strangers forever never met.
I hope you hurt
cry tearful and longingly
for the moments lost between us
never to find love rising again.
