I hope that helps
What do I really mean?
when I say 'hope that helps?'
Words set down lightly,
in a quiet, thoughtful way.
What do these three words convey?
Who does the helping—
'Me','Hope' or the Words I say?
The line is unclear—
A helping hand in the fray?
or hope, that 'Hope', finds 'its' way.
Line left in the tray
loosens from what's intended.
As hope fills the gap—
weaving in what I couldn't say,
to complete my lame answer.
