I Hope I Find the Words
This titled piece holds a stolen theme
I stumbled on this particular sentence that got me thinking
What would I say, if I ever came face to face with people I have wronged in the past?
Would I heal their wounds or further increase their hurt?
And now as I stand before you, will I find the words to apologize and mend my ways
Or will I say something that will push me far into the dark abyss away from you
I hope I find the words to heal those whose hearts I have hurt
I hope I find the words to fix what I have broken
I hope I find the words to express my gratitude to the deserving and not
I hope I find the words to uplift those I degraded
And embrace those that I neglected
I hope I find the words;
To express my love to those I call beloved
To flatter the one, I belong to
And to bring peace to the chaos I have erupted
Inside and out
I hope I find the words;
To redeem myself of every wrong
To seek Him that I desire
To repent for my stupidity
And close the extending gap between us
I hope I find the words!
