I hope I do not have to struggle

I hope I do not 
have to struggle 
through another day

Because honestly 

I have just barely 

Been getting by

And I have had 
my fair share 
of suffering lately

Just like so many 
other people have 
with this bad economy

But at least I have learned
the true 
meaning behind humility

And I am truly 
grateful and happy

For all the things 
that I do have

Instead of all 
the things that 
I may not have

I just hope and pray 

That the good Lord 

Can hear me

No matter what 
the odds may be 

Because he is 
the only one 

That can help 
me find my way
