I Hold My Breath

The telephone rings
The number unknown
So I don’t answer
I don’t want to be shown

That something has happened
My fears have come true
You’ve done something wrong
Nothing is new

But the truth of it all
And one day you’ll see
The worry you cause
Is unkind to me

Changes must come
And only by you
If you really love me
Don’t say, just do

Do the right thing
And think about me
And remove all the worry
And become what I need
