I Hide Myself
If I could be free
To just be me
To walk my walk
And show my history
But no they are not ready
The masses
The neighbors
The so-called friends.
They could not take it
So I hide myself for another if.
If I could just shout my biggest truths
Would anyone accept me?
Or would more people be mad?
Would I be revered or ostracized?
Could they take the real me?
Does anyone?
Can I share my soul anywhere?
Would I become worse or better with their approval?
Or would I become stagnant and clingy?
The Ifs are running amok in my brain.
If I do this will that happen?
If I do that will this happen?
Guesses never work out.
They never fully come to pass.
I will be myself.
Whoever can take it, can take me.
