Wind whistling, revealing stories
Writing poetry, rhythms
Gentle joys, impressions glowing
Trembling testimonies
Revealing the light, reflecting
Songs burning through the night
Twilight wonders, embracing
Silence, with a heart who agrees
In the wind’s journals
Are moments who we see
As lasting serenity, soothing away
Each fear, blessing each lonely tear
Stirring the heart to consider
All the music the wind plays, though
Bitter, she glistens in gestures
Falling leaves, soundless kisses
Quiet as the breath of a dying Savior
Who gave us the music of prayer and praise,
Delivering us from the sin prison
Where we lay broken and beyond help,
Redeeming us from the night of despair
When nothing could save us…
Yet He saves to the uttermost
He saves so that we’re filled with hope
He saves so that the Christmas story
Is one of light, love and glory…
A story that burns through every shadow,
Weakens the darkness and expresses,
Everlasting love that was sent from above,
Come down to us – to save what was lost,
To sing confidence through the wind,
To remind us all, despite our sins,
We have a Savior who is also a friend
One who will stay beside us until the end,
And then… lead us to heaven, hand in hand
With the joy of a love that has always been!
Merry Christmas – keep the light of Him
Who came to show us that love will always win.
