I Hear a Sermon

I Hear the Sermon
I go to church, hear the word
Given by the preacher in his homily:
Retaining a sentence, phrase or word
Only that which finely suits me.
I feel satisfied to have heard
The word, pleasing to my ear,
The rest that marks my faults
Matters not so dear.

I love going to church. His very word created us, is life, sharper than a two-edged sword. I’d love to sit at His feet. God’s ways are better than ours. God bless you!
