I Have Today

Solitare
Solitde, so very lonely
Yet I see a glimmering light
In their eyes; a child's love
as I close my mine

Yeah, I've spent time here waiting
on once in a life time's, chances
I should be empty
but I am so filled with hope tonight

I know the road is broken
and fear tells me to go
but a voice in the wind says "wait"...

I am breathing
and I feel so alive
Life is the gift you've given,
a treasure in itself I know;
and you're still giving!
though at times it's a hard road to go

Yes, I've needed you
and yearned to be near you, so very long
What then, is to fear?
When I shall never travel alone

I was merely searching
When you reached down from on high, your throne..
So, I wrote you this verse to tell you,
I'm here when your ready for me to go

I know many truths in this life
as I read them, the light seems so dim
and the road seems a bit broken,
You caress my tears, my spirit filled, whispers, stay...

I have today~
I tell myself, I have today~
To: day
