I Have To Talk To Her

' I have to talk to her' I thought to myself
My heart starts pounding.
My mind starts racing
I learned exactly what to say
I learned exactly what to do today
Now it’s time to take action
And yet… I do nothing
I stand here . And do nothing
I am too intimidated
This is not what I anticipated
Maybe I should gather enough courage
to walk over and start a conversation.
Can I tell her how beautiful she is?
 or challenges her in conversation…
but she might not be impressed.
And she’s definitely not interested.
She may go along in a lukewarm conversation
but then I am nervous
and can’t ask for her phone number.
Or if I gets her number,
And try to contact her later she may simply ignore
Or, after much effort,
I finally gets her on a date,
but at the end of the night
I just can’t seem to go in for the kiss.
Maybe if I try to kiss her
she will take a step back
look up at me so painfully
and say - let's just be friends
