I Have Stopped Asking God Why

Okay I can live with this I think
And I do for a week or so.
Months later I am not as grateful about things
Or as gracious about shingles

A year later, and it is still bothering me
Now a year and a half.
I have stopped asking God why
Because I think I understand

What He hands me is for Him to know
And what He hands me is usually something I need
Somewhere down the road so I can help others.
He has never given me anything I have not used.

I can live with this, I think.
Because it is an experience I need
to help me help someone else
This is what He has given onto my heart
And so I carry on, with gratitude and love.
